How to Get the Archangel Race
The best all-round race in the game, unlocked by evolving Angel through three trials on Blue Planet. Seven halos in total.

Verified against sources covering May–June 2026
Cross-checked across three independent walkthroughs: beebom.com (11 May 2026), chainplay.gg, and gamegeekfusion.com (12 May 2026). All three agree on the trial structure and the boss pairings. The 750-roll race pity mentioned under prerequisites comes from gamegeekfusion alone and is flagged as unconfirmed.
Before you start
- Sea 2 unlocked. You reach it through the Sea Traveler on World Island.
- The Angel race, equipped. Archangel is an evolution of Angel — no amount of rerolling will give you Archangel directly.
- Angel is a Mythical race from the reroll pool, and getting it is realistically the longest part of this quest. One walkthrough reports a pity guarantee at 750 race rerolls, but no other source we checked mentions any pity on race rerolls at all — do not count on it.
- One source additionally lists Ascension 5 and map pieces as gates. The other two do not mention them, so treat this as unconfirmed.
What you need
- 5 Secret-rarity items for the first trial: Aura Crates, Cosmetic Crates, Secret Chests or Guild Keys all count.
- A luck build, to make those Secret drops happen at a sane rate.
- Enough combat power to kill three of: Atomic, Strongest Shinobi, Cosmic Being, Sun God, Spirit Warrior, The World.
- Optional: Crystal Coins. One source reports Secret Chests being purchasable from the Crystal Defense Merchant on Punch Island for 500 coins each.
Step by step
- 1
Equip Angel and find the Celestial Guide
Travel to Blue Planet in Sea 2 and head right from the island portal, toward the spawn crystal. The Celestial Guide stands near it, marked with a red question mark. Talk to her with Angel equipped to accept all three trials at once.

Trial 1 — collect 5 Secret-rarity items
Aura Crates, Cosmetic Crates, Secret Chests and Guild Keys all count toward the same total. Farm with your best luck setup. Trading with other players is a legitimate shortcut and is often faster than farming, since the items are tradeable.
- 3
Trial 2 — collect the 4 hidden halos
These are static pickups you walk into, not drops. Starter Island: on the hill to the right of the teleport portal. Bizarre Island: on the mountain cliff beside the coliseum ruins, behind the broken wall. Punch Island: on the roof of the tall building opposite the quest NPC. Blue Planet: on the raised ground behind the Celestial Guide, toward the shoreline. A race with extra jumps or jump height makes all four noticeably easier to reach.
- 4
Trial 3 — collect the 3 boss halos
Each of these three halos drops from either of a pair of bosses, so you can pick whichever is easier for your build. Halo one: Atomic on Lawless Island, or Strongest Shinobi on Ninja Island. Halo two: Cosmic Being on Punch Island, or Sun God on Slayer Island. Halo three: Spirit Warrior on Blue Planet, or The World on Bizarre Island.

Return to the Celestial Guide
With all seven halos and the five Secret items collected, go back to Blue Planet and interact with her again. Angel evolves into Archangel on the spot.
How to tell it worked
- Your race shows as Archangel in the character menu, not Angel.
- You have +2 extra jumps — the fastest way to feel the change without opening a menu.
- The Celestial Guide no longer offers the trials when you speak to her.
Common reasons it fails
- The Celestial Guide will not give you the quest
- Angel must be equipped, not merely owned. Check the character menu before talking to her.
- You rerolled off Angel partway through the trials
- Get Angel back and re-equip it before handing in. The trials themselves are the long part; the hand-in specifically checks your equipped race.
- A halo pickup is not appearing
- The four hidden halos are one-time pickups per account. If one is missing from the world, check whether you already collected it — the quest tracker is the reliable answer, not the world.
- Boss halos are not dropping
- Each boss halo comes from one of two specific bosses, and only those. Killing other bosses, however strong, contributes nothing to this trial.
- You are worried about losing Archangel later
- You do not have to repeat the questline. Sources agree that once completed, you can reclaim Archangel by speaking to the Celestial Guide again with Angel equipped.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I get Archangel from a Race Reroll?
- No. Archangel is a Secret race obtained only by evolving Angel through the Celestial Guide's trials. Rerolls can give you Angel, which is the prerequisite.
- How many halos does Archangel need in total?
- Seven — four hidden halos you find in the world across Sea 2, and three that drop from bosses.
- Is Archangel better than Reaper?
- They are built for different jobs. Reaper has higher damage, more HP and execute damage, which makes it the stronger pure boss-killer. Archangel has a +55% luck multiplier, +15% double drop chance and extra jumps, which makes it far better for farming. Most players who have both keep Archangel on for grinding.
- Do I need to keep Angel after evolving?
- No. Once the evolution is done you are Archangel. You only need Angel equipped again if you rerolled away and want to reclaim Archangel from the NPC.
